TRACKS is a series of weird and wonderful concerts at the Concertgebouw, involving fun instrument combinations, spectacular programmes and sensational sound and interplay.
Music-lovers of all types, from avid chamber music concert-goers to inquisitive culture-vultures will feel at home at TRACKS concerts! These hour-long concerts by renowned artists take place at the elegant Recital Hall upstairs at Concertgebouw, followed by after-parties with DJs.
Mahler to Metallica and everything in between
Listen to the earth-shattering sounds of this wonderfully offbeat ensemble known as ORBI, which stands for "The Oscillating Revenge of the Background Instruments." Meet Bram van Sambeek on basson, Sven Figee on Hammond organ, Rick Stotijn on double bass and Marijn Korff de Gidts on percussion, playing everything from Mahler to Metallica.
Arranged by Marijn van Prooijen with stage direction by Elsina Jansen, it's a truly beguiling treat for the ears. The magic is further intensified by video artist Jurjen Alkema and lighting designer Desirée van Gelderen.
The Recital Hall is the venue of choice for TRACKS concerts, where you sit so close to the performers that it's even possible hear them breathe. This hall is renowned among musicians because of its pristine acoustics and cosiness.
