TRACKS: Alma Quartet at Concertgebouw
TRACKS is a fresh and attractive way of getting to know classical music, comprising spectacular hour-long concerts by top musicians, followed by DJs and cocktails. To get a taste of this stellar flair, the intimate Recital Hall at Concertgebouw is the place to be.
A unique musical experience
The Alma Quartet consists of violinists Marc Daniel van Biemen and Benjamin Peled, violist Jeroen Woudstra and cellist Nitzan Laster. Ever since their inception in 2014, the quartet has been hailed as one of the most thrilling ensembles in the Netherlands. Gramophone magazine said they are “capable of the most seductive playing.”
The Alma Quartet has collaborated with big names in classical music, from Philip Glass to Lisa Batiashvili. They are frequent guests at the most prestigious concert halls of the world and on national and international television and radio shows.
The Recital Hall is where the musical magic happens. This renowned upstairs hall is an oasis for lovers of chamber music, where listeners sit so close to the performers that you can hear them breathe. This hall is also a favourite among musicians thanks to its robust acoustics and audience-performer proximity.
