Movember Run goes digital

Move your moustache at the Movember Run, or MoRun, now with its own digital version due to the coronavirus crisis. The event has been running for many years, but this is the first year that it's taking place online.

Movember Run Amsterdam goes digital

The annual Movember Run Amsterdam is a comical 5km race to raise money for Movember, an international initiative to promote men's health and prostate exams. It usually takes place in Vondelpark in Amsterdam, but due to the coronavirus, this is not possible in 2020.

Never fear - the fun is still going on, just in a safe, corona-proof way! Instead of taking place on one specific day, participants have the opportunity to do the 5K race in their own free time on any day during November.

Here's how you can take part in the digital version of Movember Run:

• Create a "MoSpace" profile on the Movember website and connect it to the running app Strava 
• Sign up for the Movember Run challenge
• Start running and raising donations

Moving men with Movember Run

New Movember health group MOVE aims to get men to exercise more, in order to better their health. The runners participating in the Movember Run can be recreational runners, marathon fanatics and party animals who love to dress up.

Neither health nor moustaches are only for men, and a great number of also women participate in the Movember Run, too! On a typical year, the participants will be competing for the coveted title: "Dutch Champion running with a moustache".
