This Paris-Amsterdam collaboration brings you a sharp, witty performance. The Amsterdam City Theatre (Stadsschouwburg) presents the play Deux mille dix sept (AKA 2017), a joyful call to action, in association with the renowned choreographer Maguy Marin and her company.

About the play

Set in an era plagued by propaganda and censoring, the play puts us back in touch with hope and our true passions.

This play immerses the viewer in a creative and discerning world reminiscent of the one in which we live today. The scene is set with ten masked performers playing the parts of ruling neo-liberalism.

Choreographed by Maguy Marin who has been at the top of the French dance scene for over two decades, this theatre masterpiece sees dance and theatre collide. The play is both thought-provoking and elegant, both politically engaged and moving.

More Parisian theatre coming to Amsterdam soon

Don't miss the other Paris-Amsterdam collaboration, the play Six personnages en quête d'auteur with by the Paris City Theatre group, directed by Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota. This will be performed at the Amsterdam City Theatre on April 21 and 22.
