Blockchain Innovation Conference
On June 7, 2018, Utrecht welcomes the fifth edition of Blockchain Innovation Conference: BIC18, the biggest of its kind in Benelux! Rabobank hosts this year’s technology conference which has more than 400 participants from more than 100 companies from The Netherlands and beyond.
The BIC18 programme combines plenary sessions with keynote speakers, fireside chats and panels with six different tracks: business & finance, government services, the energy sector, identity, technological developments and ICOs. BIC18 brings together speakers from home and abroad, including top thinkers such as, Vinay Gupta and Dave Birch. They outline how existing companies can use Blockchain to radically innovate.
Real world solutions
The theme of BIC18 conference this year is "Blockchain: From Proof or Concept to Real World Solutions". At Rabobank in Utrecht, decision makers from startups, corporate companies and government organisations meet to discuss the radical changes that Blockchain technology can make possible. One of the guests is Prince Constantijn van Oranje-Nassau, special envoy at StartupDelta and an advocate of the Netherlands as a forerunner in Blockchain technology.

The average person knows Blockchain as the technology behind crypto coins, but there is so much more to it that just that. A wealth of expert speakers
Gartner, one of the world's leading research and advisory companies talks to us about the professionalisation of the Blockchain in the ICT boardroom. KPMG presents the Blockchain Maturity model. Wiebe Draijer, CEO of Rabobank, provides an explanation for a trade administration platform based on Blockchain, while Jon Kuiper, CEO of Koopman Logistics, shows how the company uses Blockchain to handle logistical processes in the supply chain.
