The last weekend of October belongs to the PINT Bock Beer Festival in the stylish Beurs van Berlage in the centre of Amsterdam!

The PINT Bock Beer Festival (Bokbierfestival) is the biggest beer festival in the Netherlands. Every year, about 12.000 beer lovers make their way over to taste variants of locally brewed bock beers, as dozens of breweries offer more than 100 different types straight from the tap!

Connoisseurs and enthusiasts of the foamy golden broth visit the festival with a passion. You can traipse around various stands to try out the many different flavours, while live bands provide music in the hall.

The Bock Beer Festival is also the place where the Best Bock Beer of the Year is officially selected.

About bock beer

Bock beer is a beer for special occasions. It has been around since the 14th century and originally had a deep brown hue. In later years, many different colours and flavours have been presented by creative brewers.

There are bock beers to cater to both the spring season and the autumn season. The autumn variant is generally fuller, to satisfy cold and hunger.

Glass, drinks and a booklet

Upon entry, visitors can buy a starter pack. This includes a glass for tapping the beers, which can be taken home afterwards. A festival booklet that describes the different flavours you can try out, and three consumer coins are also included.
