The hoppy brown broth flows freely from the many taps in the centre of Zutphen for National Bock Beer Day! Several kinds of bock beer can be tasted from the tap, confirming that the stuff is as hip as ever.

Annual festival

Celebrating its 21st edition this year, National Bock Beer Day has grown into a grand event that attracts over 100.000 visitors every year, from the Netherlands as well as abroad.

Having to forgo the usual parade, there will still be a large number of beer wagons to be admired on location. On show are the admirable carts from Amstel, Heineken, Brand, Grolsch and more.

Food and music

Other than beer, visitors will also find plenty of food, and various locations throughout the town will be playing live music. The Zaadmarkt is host to all kinds of activities that focus on beer and nostalgia, as well as the brewing process.
