The Hague UIT Festival represents the start of the cultural season in The Hague.
Live music, theatre and dance performances grace various stages in the city centre, as established theatres and other cultural institutions open their doors to present previews of their cultural activities and performances for the upcoming season, free of charge.
The Cultural Market will also take place, to present the best cultural institutions and products.
About 95.000 visitors enjoy The Hague UIT Festival every year. Free buses drive up and down to the different locations, allowing everyone to admire all the performance areas.
Two performance hotspots are definite must-sees during The Hague UIT Festival:
Cultural epicentre the Lange Voorhout will have multiple stages where both international artists and local talents will perform in all kinds of genres. The Cultural Market will also take place here.
Theater aan het Spui, the Filmhuis and National Dance Theatre will be presenting a programme on location. Various other performances will be given in and around the Nieuwe Kerk.
