Exhibition: 15 years of The Hague International Centre
Exhibition: 15 years of The Hague International Centre
This autumn, The Hague International Centre proudly celebrates a milestone: 15 years of supporting and connecting internationals in The Hague region. To mark the occasion, a special exhibition will be on display in front of The Hague International Centre, in the atrium at City Hall, from October 8 to 24, 2025.
A city of global citizens
The Hague - home to over 200 international organisations, including the International Court of Justice and Europol - is a vibrant international city, where thousands of people from around the world work each day to build a better, safer, and more just world. To help these internationals feel at home in the region, The Hague International Centre was established as a dedicated source of support and guidance.
Over the past 15 years, the International Centre has welcomed over 60.000 internationals from all walks of life, each bringing their unique perspectives and experiences. The exhibition "15 Years of The Hague International Centre", showcases the contribution of internationals to The Hague and personal stories of international residents who have made The Hague their new home. Most of them are now helping others to also feel at home in our beautiful city.
Personal stories
Visitors can embark on a five-step journey through the exhibition, exploring the stages of an international experience while settling in, and ultimately growing roots in The Hague. Through the personal stories of international residents who have built new lives in The Hague, the exhibition shows how internationals contribute to The Hague as a city of impact and innovation.
The stories also reveal how The Hague International Centre has impacted their personal and professional lives. Visitors to the exhibition are invited to engage with the personal journeys on display, each a footprint of the people who have chosen to call The Hague their new home away from home.
