The most beautiful classical music from Christmas movies

Hear your musical favourites with Christmas Classics at the Movies, where the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie from Germany plays music from famous composers and equally famous songs, conducted by Markus Huber. Mezzo-soprano Maria Fiselier is your guide on a journey through music from Christmas movies and other film classics: from E.T. to Sleigh Ride, and from Home Alone to Walking in the Air!

Enjoy a lovely night out with your friends and family in the beautifully lit main hall of the Royal Concertgebouw on either Friday, December 22 or Wednesday, December 27. Why not do as the Dutch do and not only celebrate a second Christmas Day but also a third Christmas Day with this special holiday concert on December 27. Use of the free cloakroom and drinks on the house before the start of the concert and during the intermission are included. Tickets usually sell out in advance so order your tickets in time!

The Concertgebouw’s famous Main Hall is one of the best concert halls in the world, well-known for its exceptional acoustics and special atmosphere. In the Main Hall, you will feel history. Here, Gustav Mahler conducted his own compositions, as did Richard Strauss and Igor Stravinsky. Sergei Rachmaninoff played his own piano concertos in the Main Hall.
