About this role
Are you passionate about luxury hospitality, relationship-driven sales, and building lasting partnerships in the hotel industry? We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager on behalf of our client, an international events company specializing in trade shows for the hospitality industry in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Sales & Account Management
- Drive revenue growth by securing exhibition space and premium sponsorship packages for high-end hospitality trade events
- Manage and expand relationships with Dutch hotel owners, general managers, and hospitality decision-makers
- Develop comprehensive commercial strategies and execute targeted sales campaigns across multiple European markets
- Build robust sales pipelines through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and market intelligence
- Deliver compelling partnership proposals and negotiate complex sponsorship agreements with hospitality brands
Client Relationship Development
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with hotel industry leaders to understand their procurement needs and business challenges
- Attend industry networking events and hospitality trade shows to identify new business opportunities
- Maintain detailed client records and ensure seamless account management across multiple event portfolios
- Provide expert consultation on market trends and help clients maximize their event participation ROI
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with event management, marketing, and operations teams to ensure flawless event execution
- Contribute to floor plan optimization and strategic event development initiatives
- Support on-site client engagement during peak event periods across European locations
- Participate in regular team planning sessions and provide market insights to drive business growth
Qualifications & Skills
- Near native Dutch speaker and advanced English proficiency
- Minimum 2-3 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of meeting revenue targets
- Strong background in hospitality, events, or luxury service industries preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with senior-level executives
- Demonstrated expertise in consultative selling, objection handling, and closing complex deals
- Experience developing detailed partnership proposals and managing CRM systems
- Comfortable with regular travel across the Netherlands and Europe for client meetings and industry events
- Self-motivated professional who thrives in fast-paced, target-driven environments
- Strategic thinking abilities with keen attention to detail and process optimization
- Collaborative team player who can work independently and take initiative
- Professional demeanor with resilience under pressure and commitment to continuous improvement
- Immediate availability required – this is an urgent replacement role with a tight timeline
What We Offer
- Competitive gross yearly base salary of €45,000-€55,000
- Substantial commission structure (30% of annual salary) with monthly payout options
- An additional 10% commission on net sponsorship revenue
