About this role

Our client is an international HR and employment services company that helps businesses expand globally. On behalf of one of their clients, an internationally recognised manufacturer of premium bakery products supplying customers across Europe through state-of-the-art production facilities, we are looking for an experienced Shift Leader to join the production team in Oldenzaal.

In the role, you will lead a team of approximately 10 employees, ensuring production is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards. You will coordinate daily operations, support your team where needed, and contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes.

Job Profile for Shift Leader
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Coordinate daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of approximately 10 production employees
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to maintain uninterrupted production
  • Identify production bottlenecks and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with company standards
  • Handle day-to-day team coordination, including leave planning and employee support

Candidate Profile for Shift Leader

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Completed vocational education or a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Food Process Operator or in a similar production role within the food industry
  • Proven experience leading or supervising production teams
  • Willingness to work in a five-shift rotation system
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment
