For a leading international fashion brand headquartered in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Specialist, Showroom Concept Design. In this creative role, you will develop world-class global and satellite showroom concepts that bring seasonal brand stories to life and inspire wholesale partners and retail buyers. You combine strong interior/showroom design experience with excellent 2D, 3D, rendering, and technical drawing skills.
A portfolio is required with your application, with a deadline for submissions on Friday the 10th of July at 12:00.
The Team
The Global Store Design and Visual Experience department is responsible for creating compelling store and showroom experiences for consumers across all channels and markets. Through concept design, visual merchandising, and window design, the team develops the strategies, concepts, and tools needed to support regional rollout in close collaboration with teams across key regions.
Within this department, the Windows and Showrooms Design team leads the creative strategy and seasonal concepts for windows and showrooms worldwide. Working closely with Global Marketing, the team brings key brand stories to life across consumer touchpoints.
The Position
The Senior Specialist, Showroom Concept Design role sits within the Consumer Brand Experience team and reports to the Senior Director of Windows and Creative Concepts, with a dotted reporting line to the Global Showrooms Manager.
You are responsible for the design, development, and installation of global and satellite showroom spaces. Working collaboratively across teams, the position helps deliver world-class showroom environments that inspire and engage wholesale partners and retail buyers, supporting product storytelling and driving sales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop world-class creative concepts for global and satellite showroom spaces across multiple brand lines.
- Support the full concept development process, including creative research, mood boards, concept sketching, material research, spatial planning, and both 2D and 3D project work.
- Develop showroom concepts within realistic budget constraints, with a strong understanding of production processes to ensure ideas are achievable.
- Create high-quality design renders, detailed drawings, construction packs, artworks, and graphics for large-scale print and production.
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to deliver comprehensive global toolkits for each showroom.
- Partner with creative, design, business unit, visual merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure seasonal concepts align with collections, briefings, and consumer touchpoints.
- Support the Global Showrooms Manager with project coordination, toolkit development, and the build-up and take-down of each seasonal showroom setup, alongside showroom operations specialists.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a relevant university degree and has at least 4 years of experience in showroom or interior design for premium lifestyle brands, with solid knowledge of retail environments and experience working in corporate settings;
- Is able to work from briefs and instructions in line with business priorities and objectives, while managing responsibilities and deadlines across business, department, and team needs;
- Has a strong passion for global retail, art, and design trends, with an excellent eye for design detail and a solid understanding of materials, production techniques, and design methods;
- Has experience in graphic design and creating artwork for large-scale print, including applications for windows and interior environments;
- Is highly skilled in SketchUp and V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and is confident using AutoCAD to create technical drawings for production;
- Has excellent knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong communication skills, excellent presentation abilities, and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels;
- Brings enthusiasm for sustainability principles and circular design, with a solutions-minded, positive, strategic, creative, collaborative, reliable, flexible, and accountable approach, and the ability to work well both independently and in group collaborations.
