Product Owner (e-Commerce) - Temporary
About this role
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the PIM system, e-commerce integrations, and microservices.
- Partner with other product teams to develop features enhancing UX/UI by ensuring appropriate PIM capabilities, integrations, and microservices are in place.
- Serve as the primary knowledge base for stakeholders regarding the technical aspects of the e-commerce ecosystem, explaining and visualizing back-end solutions.
- Build strong partnerships with Brand, Customer Experience, IT, and Analytics teams to align foundational capabilities with commercial goals and digital experience innovation.
- Translate strategic business needs into clear, actionable, and technical user stories to guide platform development.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform scalability, technical health, and data quality.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, DevOps, and PIM teams for timely and high-quality implementation of foundational capabilities.
- Monitor platform performance, stability, scalability, and data quality, proactively identifying and addressing technical risks and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in a (Technical) Product Owner role, specifically with large, high-traffic websites, ideally in e-commerce.
- Capacity to understand the broader implications of decisions and apply this understanding to roadmap prioritization.
- Proven ability to manage communications for large audiences across multiple teams, ensuring consistent and up-to-date information flow.
- Deep technical development knowledge and analytical skills, with a focus on maximizing e-commerce performance metrics (Traffic, Average Order Value, Conversion Rate).
- Ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and commercial drivers to non-commercial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SCRUM methodology, agile ways of working, and a strong ability to analyze data to validate solutions before defining them.
Salary
For this full-time assignment in Amsterdam, hybrid work is possible. Start date is October 2026, until end of February 2027. For this assignment, you will receive a contract from Independent Recruiters.
