A dynamic and forward-thinking security and privacy unit, responsible for the IT landscape of a major organization, is seeking a talented Senior Cloud Security Consultant to bolster its ranks.
This team operates at the forefront of innovation, safeguarding B2C and Enterprise IT environments, including cutting-edge cloud, container, and DevOps platforms. With a broad scope encompassing over 500 applications and more than 100 development teams, the unit plays a critical role in ensuring all technological advancements adhere to the highest security and privacy standards.
This role offers a unique blend of deep technical expertise and impactful consultancy. While the position is technically grounded, the emphasis lies heavily on advising business units and development teams on the secure implementation of their cloud workloads. - Advise business and DevOps teams on secure cloud workload implementation.
- Secure containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless environments.
- Conduct threat modeling on system architectures and mitigate identified threats.
- Analyze and resolve cloud security non-compliances, validating solutions.
- Collaborate on integrating new cloud security features and services into daily operations.
- Regularly manage vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
- Implement cloud security solutions (WAF, Endpoint Protection, System Hardening, IAM).
- Analyze technical security questions and provide expert advice.
- Develop templates and automations for scalable security delivery.
- Work with modern CI/CD pipelines for automated security checks (DevSecOps).
- Support security training and awareness initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a security consultancy role.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS security.
- In-depth and demonstrable knowledge of Kubernetes and container security.
- Experience with GitHub pipelines and integrating security tooling within CI/CD processes.
- Energetic and outgoing personality.
- Ability to proactively approach, engage, and train teams.
- Experience in a complex corporate environment with numerous stakeholders is essential; a startup-only background is insufficient.
- AWS Security Specialty certification.
- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) certification.
Salary
6000 - 7000
A great assignment in Amsterdam (hybrid, Thursday is a mandatory office day), for a minimum of 3 months, for 40 hours per week. In this assignment, you will work on a flex contract via our agency, with a salary of €6000-€7000 gross per month (for a 40 hours work-week).
