(Medior) Special engineer – Exterior Amsterdam

Are you an experienced engineer ready to take on the challenge of functional leadership in a high-end shipbuilding environment? No two projects are the same because neither are these fully customized superyachts. Join a growing team at one of the most prestigious Dutch shipyards, where innovation and craftsmanship define every project. In this role, you will be integral in creating high-quality, tailored solutions for the exterior of luxury superyachts.

You will collaborate with fellow engineers and report to a Senior Engineer, working together to ensure the timely and precise development of the final design.

Your Role:

Detailed engineering, 3D modeling & datasheets.
Ensure high-quality, timely execution of final designs.
Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturability.
Key focus areas include the design of doors, hatches, railings, and sunblinds, where you’ll need to carefully evaluate aspects such as materials, production methods, assembly processes, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability

Job requirements

HBO-level education with relevant experience in yacht building/interior construction.
3+ years in yacht/shipbuilding
Strong knowledge of production techniques & manufacturability
Proficiency in Siemens NX, TeamCenter & CAD software.
Good command of the English language
Knowledge of Lloyd’s, SOLAS & Large Yacht Code (preferred).
