More bike parking at public transport stops in The Hague

The municipality of The Hague is investing 200.000 euros in installing an extra 288 bike parking stands and a further 10 bicycle lockers in the city.

Public transport

The municipality will focus on placing a number of these new facilities at 29 public transportation spots throughout the city.

The Hague has been working hard recently on improving transportation within the city, first by introducing more parking facilities at the Central Station and then investing in the introduction of remote control traffic lights.

Despite their efforts though, Amsterdam remains the most bicycle-friendly city in the country and, indeed, in the world.

New bike parking facilities planned:

Twenty new bikes stands at the Savornin Lohmanplein and the Valkenbosplein each.
Forty new stands at the Leyenburg public transport stop.
Five new bicycle lockers at the Uithof stop and at De Dreef.
