The Netherlands replaced the world and European champions Spain at the top of the latest FIFA World Ranking, and became the seventh team to occupy the top spot after Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Note that the Orange team leads the rankings for the first time in its history because a friendly match between them and England got cancelled (rioting in London). The Netherlands would have to win this friendly otherwise to overtake La Furia Roja (or La Roja) that had held the position for over a year.

For more information about how points are calculated download the FIFA / Coca-Cola World Ranking FACT Sheet.
