The Netherlands is in the top ten of the Global Innovation Index (GII), INSEAD's annual report that covers 125 economies, accounting for 93,2% of the world’s population and 98% of the world’s Gross Domestic Product (in current US dollars).
"This year’s rankings show that innovation has become a global phenomenon... Innovation is critical to driving growth in both developed and emerging economies, especially during a time when the global economy is still in a state of recovery," said Soumitra Dutta, Roland Berger Professor of Business and Technology at INSEAD and editor of the study.
