Our client, a leading company in the food and drink industry, producing a broad portfolio of high-quality products enjoyed by consumers every day is looking for an Account Manager to focus on the Dutch market across Retail, Foodservice, and Industry channels.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Senior International Account Manager to manage existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities, helping to drive well-known brands forward.
Your Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement account plans, including competitor research and market analysis.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying new opportunities.
- Conduct regular customer visits and represent the company at trade fairs and industry events.
- Oversee the complete sales process—from preparing offers and negotiating contracts to execution.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and gather critical market insights.
- Collaborate with Marketing and customers on campaigns and promotions.
- Analyse product assortments and market data (e.g. YouGov, GfK) to generate actionable insights.
- Stay on top of market trends and competitor activities to drive growth.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a driven, commercially minded professional who brings:
- Experience in retail account management (essential).
- 3-5 years of experience in account management; experience in foodservice or B2B is a plus.
- Experience with Superunie members is a significant advantage.
- Proven track record managing an A-brand in the Dutch retail market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- A creative, assertive, and curious mindset, eager to stay ahead of market trends.
- A hands-on approach paired with strong commercial thinking.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills; experience with data tools like Nielsen, YouGov, or GfK is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
