Service Manager Data & Process Analysis (ESA/ESTEC)

We are looking for a Service Manager Data & Process Analysis to provide support to the European Space Agency in achieving their digital transformation and reporting objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible in overseeing the delivery of the Data and Process Analytics service, while also dedicating a major portion of time to hands-on delivery tasks.

The Service Manager will lead a team of 5-6 staff divided between ESTEC and ESRIN in performing the tasks across the 3 work packages. These tasks will be performed within the HIF Directorate at ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands, in close coordination with internal stakeholders and business units.

Work Package 1:

Finance Planning and Controlling Department (WP-F): The Finance, Planning and Controlling Department is responsible for the definition and implementation of the Agency's policies in financial, controlling and accounting matters.

Work Package 2:

Human Resources Departmen (WP-H): The Human Resources Department is responsible of defining the strategy and policy in the area of human resources, employment and working conditions and ensuring uniform implementation throughout the Agency and related operations.

Work Package 3:

Information Technology Department and Digital Transformation Office (WP-I): The Information Technology Department and Digital Transformation Office is the responsible of the delivery and evolution of the common IT systems and services of the Agency and is responsible of operating these systems in compliance with ESA Admin Instructions and Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the analytics service team across the 3 Work Packages.

• Engage with ESA stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of KPIs and dashboards.

• Oversee requirements gathering, dashboard implementation, and validation activities.

• Track service performance, risks, and resourcing.

• Contribute directly to analytics tasks including dashboard design and testing.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline;

• 5+ years of experience in service management or team leadership roles;

• Strong background in data and statistical analysis, data modelling, and dashboard design;

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI (mandatory);

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite, Adobe Acrobat, and collaboration tools like SharePoint, Slack, and MS Teams;

• Experience in ESA or similar institutional environment;

• Proficient project management skills;

• Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and project timelines;

• Strong written and spoken communication;

• Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of the local working language is an asset;

• Eligible to live and work in the EU.
