About this role

On behalf of the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), we are currently searching for a Digitalization Program Manager to join their team in Amsterdam. This a great opportunity to join an organization with a strong mission and take on an impactful role within one of their 3 strategic programmatic areas: digital citizenship. This role is responsible for overseeing the successful development and implementation of ECF’s Digital Citizenship strategy.

About the European Cultural Foundation

The European Cultural Foundation (ECF) is an independent non‑profit organization, founded in 1954 in Geneva and headquartered in Amsterdam since 1960. Its mission is to strengthen democratic solidarity and a shared European identity through cultural activity and civic engagement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Overall programme management:

  • Oversee the planning, development, and successful delivery of all projects that fall under Digital Citizenship, including the Council on European Public Space and developing public and private funding partnerships;

  • Develop the ECF workplan Digital Citizenship for the coming years;

  • Be the point of contact for all grantees and partners and coordinate Good Grants processes with the ECF grants team for specific opportunities of Digital Citizenship;

  • Monitor the budget of Digital Citizenship and collaborate with ECF Finance and oversee all income and expenditure flows relating to the programme, ensuring compliance with all funding requirements & a streamlined process (including to ensure smooth end-of-programme auditing);

  • Oversee the project management and implementation of Digital Citizenship initiatives;

  • Networking and representation at external events.

Requirements:

  • You are well-acquainted with the European digital field from a professional perspective with previous experience in this field.

  • You are an organized, efficient, and solution-oriented professional with several years of experience in managing grants and programs.  

  • You are a do-er and a team-player with excellent communication skills.

  • You have worked for a non-profit or public institution that operates in complex working circumstances, ideally on an international level.  

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar project management role.   

  • You are based and registered in The Netherlands.

  • Salary ranging from € 3,326 to € 4,859 gross per month (on full time basis) (Scale 8, Knowledge Worker C) with 8% holiday allowance, 13th month and benefits package.
