About this role
Our client is seeking an experienced Sales & Transport Executive to join their Amsterdam office. This role combines both sales (70%) and transport (30%) responsibilities and is ideal for a proactive professional with strong customer-facing skills and expertise in the travel/airline sector. The new joiner will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the Sales Team.
Job & Tasks Description
*Sales*
Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a premium, welcoming experience (by phone and in person).
Build long-term relationships with clients, guiding them proactively throughout the sales process.
Gather client expectations and motivations to provide tailored travel recommendations.
Promote destinations, products, and services to enhance the client experience.
Follow up to ensure client satisfaction and maintain a strong client base.
Contribute to business development by generating sales, retaining clients, and upselling additional services.
Maintain and update client data, sales records, and follow up on complaints or feedback.
*Transport *
Support the sales team by handling transport requests and ensuring efficient solutions (ideally within 4 hours).
Find the best flights and fares suited to client needs.
Manage flight changes, re-issues, cancellations, and no-shows in Amadeus and the internal reservation system.
Issue or reissue tickets and monitor Amadeus queues to resolve ticketing issues promptly.
Communicate proactively with clients regarding flight schedule changes, potential disruptions (weather, strikes, political issues), and ensure smooth updates.
Support the Transport Manager with ADM, ACM, and BSP requirements.

C2 level of Dutch and fluency in English (written and spoken).
Proven experience in tourism, hospitality, or the airline industry.
Solid knowledge of ticketing and hands-on expertise with Amadeus.
Strong knowledge of airline industry rules, regulations, and partners.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
Strong technical ability: ticketing, fare management, Amadeus Q administration, and high IT proficiency.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
Proactive, flexible, accurate, and a strong team player.

Salary
€3400-€3800 per month
