Credit Controller | Polish (Eastern European Market)

Our client is seeking a Credit Controller to support their Eastern European market. In this role, you'll collaborate with a diverse team of colleagues from around the globe. Responsibilities include:
- Manage and recover outstanding debts for a specific customer portfolio within the region.
- Assess new credit requests and regularly review customer credit limits.
- Ensure prompt debt collection and initiate legal action when necessary.
- Negotiate and establish repayment plans with customers.
- Reconcile and clean up customer accounts as needed.
- Handle and allocate incoming payments in multiple currencies, ensuring daily reconciliation to the correct accounts.
- Complete month-end bank reconciliations accurately.
- Prepare customer statements, reports, and other relevant documentation as required.
- Lead regular debtor review meetings with key stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing queries from both internal and external parties.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support the finance team.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Credit Control Expertise: Over 3 years of experience as a Credit Controller. Applicants with 1-3 years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Polish and English is required. Candidates who are not fluent in Polish but are fluent in other Eastern European languages, especially Hungarian, Czech, or Slovak, are also encouraged to apply
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong focus on Excel. Experience with AX Dynamics and/or SAP is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will regularly liaise with colleagues across multiple offices and countries.
- Team Player: A collaborative, social personality with a strong sense of teamwork.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Organisational Skills: Exceptional planning and organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
