Theo Jansen is a Dutch artist and kinetic sculptor who has been working for more than 20 years to create new forms of life. His "Strandbeests" are made of plastic tubes and are able to "walk on the wind" so they do not have to feed. His ultimate goal is to "put these animals out in herds on the beaches, so they will live their own lives."
