Schiphol lets you give a Big Wave Goodbye!

By Elzi Lewis

This month Schipol Airport has launched an English version of "The Big Wave Goodbye."

This is an app that lets people film themselves waving adieu to their loved ones via webcam. After uploading the film onto the website, Schiphol then sends the video to the traveller's phone.

In case that isn't enough, the footage will also be displayed on the big screens at Schipol's departure gates!

Since the launch of the (Dutch) app in October last year, over 10.000 people have already taken advantage of the opportunity to give their loved ones a departure to remember.

To try it for yourself, simply fill in the traveller's flight details on the website and upload your own personalised message of love.
