New York receives a gift from the Netherlands
New Amsterdam Plein & Pavilion was officially opened on May 12 in New York. The prize-winning structure is a gift to New York and commemorates 400 years of friendship between the Netherlands and the United States of America.
New Amsterdam Plein & Pavilion is designed by Ben van Berkel (UN Studio) and situated in Peter Minuit Plaza, the area where the first Dutch people settled in New York.
