The nominees for the 2021 Ster Gouden Loeki - the award for the Netherlands’ best TV advert of the year - have been announced, with two major Dutch supermarkets battling it out for the golden statuette. 

The best Dutch TV ads in 2021

This year’s nominations see two supermarket giants go head to head, with Albert Heijn and Jumbo making up four out of the 10 nominees. While each company has two shots at winning the award, they face steep competition, with six other nominees - including another supermarket! - also up for this year's Ster Gouden Loeki.

Everything from mishaps at the COVID-19 test centre, to a lonely cuckoo clock - these are the 10 ads vying to be named the best TV advert in the Netherlands in 2021.
