After a stormy long weekend, the Netherlands is set to see the official arrival of summer with the first tropically warm days of the season. Temperatures are expected to rise this week, reaching a peak of up to 32 degrees celsius on Friday.

Temperatures to rise above 30 degrees in the Netherlands

The Netherlands has had a rainy and chilly start to the week, but from Wednesday things will start to turn around. As we head into June 11, the sun will shine bright and the dreary weather will die down with temperatures reaching a maximum of 22 degrees celsius.

According to Weeronline, temperatures will continue to get warmer on Thursday as humid air blows over the country. The mercury will rise to a toasty 28 degrees celsius in the afternoon, with loads of sunshine and the occasional cloud.

With Friday set to be a very summery day, with temperatures hitting between 28 and 32 degrees, it will be the perfect day to head to the beach to cool down. There might be a few clouds and the chance of some rain is possible as the day progresses.

First Dutch heatwave of 2025 to be short-lived

While people in the Netherlands will get their first taste of summer this week, it will likely only last for a few days this time. The warm winds will leave almost as quickly as they arrived, and temperatures will drop back down to 22 degrees on the weekend.

There will be an increased chance of rain showers in the following week, though it will be mostly dry with sunshine, so residents can still enjoy several outdoor activities and events
