Dutch DJ Martin Garrix ranked as best in the world for the fourth time

He may be young, but according to DJ Mag he’s the best: 26-year-old Martin Garrix has once again managed to claim the top spot in an annual ranking of the top 100 DJs in the world, with another four Dutch DJs also managing to nab spots in the top 10.

5 DJs from the Netherlands ranked amongst the top 10 in the world

You might not know it, but the Netherlands has a reputation for churning out some of the world’s most famous and successful DJs. Over the years, several Dutch DJs have managed to nab spots in the top 10 of DJ Mag’s annual list of the top 100 DJs in the world - and this year is no different.

While the past three years have seen other international stars claim the top spot, 2022 once again sees Garrix reclaim his place as the world’s best DJ for the fourth time since 2016. In an interview with the magazine, Garrix explained that the whole situation felt surreal: “I’m in the list with all the people I look up to…I started making music because of Tiësto, and I’m a huge David [Guetta] fan. I’m very grateful for the support and being included on the list, it’s very crazy.”

Garrix proudly managed to take the top spot, but he wasn’t the only Dutch DJ to make an appearance in the top 10. Unsurprisingly, Armin van Buuren once again places in the top five, while Afrojack, Don Diablo, and Oliver Heldens have also all ranked amongst the top 10 in the world.
