The Amsterdam music scene is phenomenal and so many big names stop by the Dutch capital on their European concert tours, so if you're living in this neck of the woods and you love music, count yourself lucky! Venues like Ziggo Dome, Melkweg, Paradiso and AFAS (formerly known as Heineken Music Hall) are where it's at. 

Concerts in Amsterdam - not to be missed in December, January and February

These are some of the great unmissable concerts in Amsterdam in December 2019 and January and February 2020.

Quantic

Quantic, the English musician, DJ and record producer, also known as William Holland, mixes electronic music with orchestral sounds in his "Atlantic Oscillations Live" tour.

Guy Sebastian

The Malaysian-born, Australian singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian, who began his career as the first-ever winner of Australian Idol is now a worldwide pop sensation. Catch him on his "Ridin' With You" tour.

Parov Stelar

Award-winning Austrian DJ, who has previously worked with Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga, is performing in Amsterdam, with his distinctive sound that fuses jazz, house, electro and pop. 

La Pegatina

The Catalan ska and rumba band are bringing their unstoppable energy, happiness and originality to Amsterdam. After almost two decades, countless awards, six albums, a documentary and even a video game, they are well worth seeing live.

Fivos Delivorias

The Greek rock musician gives his Amsterdam debut at Melkweg, with a "Best Of" concert, summing up the highlights of his long and illustrious career since 1989 - both his impressive repertoire and his personal journey as a performing artist.

Dream Theater

With two Grammy Awards, 14 studio albums and over 12 million records sold worldwide, the American progressive metal band Dream Theater celebrates 20 years of "Scenes from a Memory" with their "Distance Over Time" tour.

Andre Rieu

As is tradition, Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra perform a January concert in Amsterdam. Classical music fans will love this lavish, opulent and sensational performance from the Maastricht native at the Ziggo Dome.

Five Finger Death Punch

With Megadeth and Bad Wolves as the support acts, heavy metal fans will have a lot to be excited about with this performance from Five Finger Death Punch. This Las Vegas metal band is renowned for their heavy guitar riffs and catchy melodies.

Slipknot

Slipknot's newest album, "We Are Not Your Kind" is going on tour in 2020 and Amsterdam is an important stop on their European tour, with the support act Behemoth.

Stereophonics

The Welsh rock band Stereophonics has released its 11th album, recorded in just 11 days, the album "Kind". Now, after long-term success world-wide, they are embarking on their biggest European tour yet.

Angel Olsen & Hand Habits

The quirky indie rock artist Angel Olsen bridges the gap between indie-folk and garage rock. At Paradiso, she's joined by a wonderful support act, Hand Habits, with dreamy melodies and warm guitar sounds.

Liam Gallagher

The former frontman of the 90s supergroup Oasis, Liam Gallagher has made a recent comeback with his solo album and his candid biographical documentary "As It Was". On his European tour, we get to see his fresh solo act in all its glory.

Keane

On the "Cause and Effect" tour, the English band Keane dedicate their European tour to the new album of the same name, consisting of 16 shows in 11 countries.

Halsey

With a Grammy Award nomination under her belt, as well as platinum records, Halsey is one of the best-known pop icons of her generation, renowned for her distinctive voice and the visual spectacles of her performances.

Sleater-Kinney

The American indie punk band Sleater-Kinney, who emerged in the 1990s, now sounds more daring and boisterous than ever before. With their renewed energy, they are set to win over both loyal fans and brand new listeners in Amsterdam.

Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers, consisting of three brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick, are returning to Europe for the first time in over 10 years, bringing their brand new "Happiness Begins" album on tour.

Lana Del Rey

Amsterdam is the first stop on Lana Del Rey's European tour 2020, returning for the first time since giving a sold-out concert at the same venue in 2013, with her new album "Norman Fucking Rockwell".

The Darkness

The Darkness, who came to prominence in 2003, are back in their original line-up, with a nod to classic hard rock, heavy metal as well as glam rock. Their newest album "Easter is Cancelled" is their sixth studio album.

James Blunt

Known for creating personal, classic songs that touch the heart, ever since he came to prominence with "You're Beautiful" in 2005, James Blunt is back touring his new album "Once Upon a Mind".

Mura Masa

Alex Crossan, better known as Mura Masa won a Grammy Award for his remix of Haim's "Walking Away" and has been unstoppable ever since. Don't miss hearing this electronic music producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist live in Amsterdam.
