There are so many musical highlights to look forward to in the coming months in Amsterdam! The days are finally getting longer and there’s no shortage of incredible nights out and concerts to fill your social agenda!

The Amsterdam concert scene is unparalleled and so many leading figures in the music world stop by the Dutch capital on their European and global concert tours, so if you're living in or near Amsterdam and you love music, you're in for some treats! Concert halls such as Ziggo Dome, Melkweg, Paradiso and AFAS (formerly known as Heineken Music Hall) are where the musical magic happens.

These are some of the great concerts in Amsterdam not to be missed in March, April and May 2020.

Dub FX

The world-renowned Australian beatboxer is back in Amsterdam. After starting out as a street performer, Dub FX rose to prominence on Youtube, creating a unique sound that mixes hip hop, reggae and drum and bass rhythms.

Natassa Bofiliou

One of the most eminent proponents of contemporary Greek music, Natassa Bofiliou is a prolific voice of the 21st century. Together with Themis Karamouratidis, she presents many songs from their personal discography.

Maluma

The Colombian superstar Maluma stops by Amsterdam on his 11.11 tour. Ever since his song Farandulera became a hit, he has been one of the top recording artists on the Sony Latin record label.

Gregory Porter

The jazz and soul singer Gregory Porter is one of the most prolific and successful jazz singers of his generation, with his unique blend of jazz, soul, R&B and gospel. His breakthrough album Water led to a Grammy nomination and he continues to garner critical acclaim.

The Script

On their Sunsets and Full Moons European tour, The Script returns to the Amsterdam stage. The Script has had overwhelming commercial success, with more than six billion streams, 10,8 million album sales and sold-out concerts all over the world.

CocoRosie

CocoRosie is an American music group incorporating pop, blues, opera, electronica and hip hop. Formed by sisters Bianca and Sierra Casady, their music has been described by critics as "freak folk" and "new weird Americana".

Santana

The 10-time Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Santana returns to Amsterdam with his Miraculous World Tour 2020. On this tour, Santana and his band bring hits from his 50-year career to date.

Pentatonix

The American a capella vocal group Pentatonix stops by Amsterdam on its World Tour 2020. The multi-platinum Grammy awarding-winning group have sold over 10 million albums worldwide and have a mesmerising sound, with covers of existing hits as well as their own original songs.

Foals

The British indie rock band Foals will be performing songs from their new album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 1&2. The band have performed at many of the leading pop festivals, such as Glastonbury and Coachella, and their sound has been described as alternative rock, post-pop and art-punk.

Bon Iver

The American indie-folk band Bon Iver has made an impression on the music scene for its iconic sound and profound lyrics. The band won Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album. Now, in 2020 they are touring with songs from their latest album.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

This performance of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds features material predominantly from their latest album, Ghosteen, which is their seventh studio album. This is their first album since Skeleton Tree was released in 2016.

Keith Urban

Pet Shop Boys

Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live is the 2020 tour of the renowned Pet Shop Boys, with hits from years ago, along with music from the more recent past. The British synth-pop duo has had massive success since 1981, with 50 million records sold worldwide and multiple prestigious awards and nominations.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa presents a new tour and her new single Don't Start Now, which is already a huge hit worldwide with over 170 million streams to date. The Future Nostalgia 2020 European Arena Tour starts on April 26, travelling through 22 different cities in Europe, finishing on June 19.

Fat Freddy’s Drop

This band from Wellington, New Zealand is famed for its eclectic styles: dub, reggae, soul, jazz, rhythm, blues and techno. Fat Freddy's Drop is celebrated for its improvised live performances on its tours, remnants of the band’s early days as a jam band, made up of musicians from other bands.

Yannis Kotsiras

Not only will Yannis Kotsiras be performing some of his own well-loved hits, but he'll also be singing songs by other contemporary Greek music composers like Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Hatzidakis, Stavros Xarchakos, Mimis Plessas and others, plus rebetika and folk songs. Additionally, get ready for mesmerising instrumental music, with the sound of the bouzouki, oud and tzouras.

Orkesta Mendoza

The Latin band from Tucson Arizona has been described as indie mambo. Their eclectic sound is a mix of ranchera, cumbia, psychedelic rock and indie rock. the band's frontman is singer and guitarist Sergio Mendoza, who formed the band for a one-off tribute concert to Cuban mambo star Perez Prado. It was such a success that the band has continued to this day and now plays at eminent festivals like Womex, Mundial and Down the Rabbit Hole.

Conception

The Norwegian hard rock band, conception, is considered progressive metal, with influences from so many other genres like jazz, flamenco and classical music. Their tour focuses on material from their latest album, My Dark Symphony.

L Devine

The 22-year-old English pop sensation L Devine is finally coming to the Netherlands. Now, Liv is back with a brand new single: Peachy Keen.

Korn

The metal band Korn are touring with their latest album The Nothing. The album has garnered a lot of praise from the critics. NME wrote that Korn is one of the "giants of metal who have proved their longevity" with this album.
