So, you have chosen to study in the Netherlands. Are you aware that in some instances you need to get Dutch health insurance? LoonZorg offers two different health insurance policies for international students that will cover most of their unforeseen healthcare expenses.

Insurance policies for international students in the Netherlands

The insurance policies cover up to:

  • 75.000 euros for doctor and hospital expenses
  • 10 treatments of physiotherapy
  • 10 treatments of psychotherapy
  • 350 euros of emergency dental care

These policies are available for a monthly premium of 29.50 euros or 37.50 euros. The main differences between the two policies are based on the number of treatments and the maximum coverage. Compare both health insurance policies.

Compulsory Dutch health insurance

Please note that as soon as a student starts working in the Netherlands (part-time work included), their employer pays contributions towards Social Security. From that moment on, the student is obliged to take out Dutch health insurance.

LoonZorg can help you switch insurance policy packages to ensure you have the best suited and priced policy. Register now.

Why LoonZorg
