The role of the Data Analyst at Swisscom DevOps Center
For our local service team, we are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to support the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards, ensuring accurate and actionable insights for stakeholders. In this role, you will work with teams to drive data-driven decisions, improve existing systems, and explore future developments. Our focus is on delivering high-quality dashboards tailored to business needs while fostering collaboration and innovation.
What you will do
Collect, organize, and analyze data sets using analytical tools to provide actionable insights.
Design and deliver reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses tailored to business needs.
Collaborate with local teams to understand requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
Provide user support, helping stakeholders leverage dashboards effectively for decision-making.
Identify opportunities to enhance data quality, processes, and visualization techniques.
Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data analysis and visualization to drive innovation.
Support ETL pipeline maintenance and future developments in data engineering.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
You live in the Netherlands (no relocation/sponsorship provided for this role).
Minimum 2 years in data analysis, data engineering, or related roles.
Proficiency in data visualization tools, specifically Tableau.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and database management.
Knowledge of data modeling principles, with the ability to create effective data models.
Understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication for presenting data-driven insights.
Ability to adapt to domain-specific data contexts (e.g., HR, Finance, Operations).
What is the team working on:
Dashboard Development: Create and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau, adhering to business needs and enhancing usability with UX/UI principles.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights.
Data Modelling and Analysis: Design and implement data models that optimize database structures for analysis. Conduct deep dives into datasets for predictive analytics and insights exploration.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of processes and findings. Educate and support stakeholders to effectively utilize dashboards and insights.
