To support their growing international operations, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join their Service team in the Utrecht region.
As an Automation Engineer, you are part of one of project teams and are responsible for designing, programming and testing the equipment. You enjoy working with people and have frequent contact with both other team members and other departments. Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer you are responsible for the timely delivery of the PLC and HMI software.
- You create software programs in PLC and HMI based on a functional description and I/O list.
- You are actively involved in compiling the functional description.
- You are responsible for testing and debugging the software.
- You ensure clear documentation if important information about the software arises.
- You help with the management and updating of the basic software.
- Together with the team, you help develop supporting tools.
- You work together with the various departments and provide support where possible with your substantive and technical knowledge and skills.
- You create manuals for using the software and ensure that it remains up-to-date.
- You ensure that you have up-to-date knowledge of innovations and developments in software and automation, so that you can use these as effectively as possible within your role.
Requirements
- You have an HBO work and thinking level.
- You are proficient in English. You communicate clearly in word and writing.
- You have knowledge and experience with Mitsubishi GX-Works or Siemens Tia Portal.
- You have knowledge of Office 365 (Excel/Word)
- Experience with Weintek EasyBuilder Pro is a plus.
- Knowledge of Visual Basic script and/or website building is a plus.
- You preferably live in the central Netherlands.
- Experience in the food industry is a plus.
