Now in its 11th year, Amsterdam Halloween is renowned for elaborately scary costumes and a really authentic horror-themed night out.

Crazy Sexy Cool Halloween Festival

  • Zuiderpark Rotterdam

Zuiderpark in Rotterdam transforms into a place where no Halloween costume is too bizarre or too racy. At Crazy Sexy Cool Festival, you could come across any kind of scary monster, zombie, superhero or red-hot supervillain. There are scare zones and safe zones, so whether you’re up for a freaky, creepy night out or prefer to chill in your costume, this place has got it covered.

Fantasy Fest

Looking for Halloween inspiration? Then head on over to Fantasy Fest in Rijswijk near The Hague, where you'll find performances, costumes, an exhibition and a market, to get you ready for Halloween. Here's you'll find yourself in a one-stop-shop for fantasy, cosplay and magic from other realms.

Halloween Spooky Days at Walibi Holland

Each weekend for the rest of October, you can freak out in the houses of horror at Walibi World amusement park in Biddingshuizen, which stays open until 11pm on these nights of quivering fear.

Walibi World becomes a world of terrifying haunted houses for Halloween Spooky Days the daytime version of the already popular Halloween Fright Nights. Enter a scary and thrilling park of menace, mystery and terror! You don’t need to experience this nightmare alone – take your nearest and dearest, your close friends and family or your colleagues. The Garden of the Drinking Dead - Halloween by Jarmusch

Looking for somewhere to go in downtown Rotterdam this Halloween? Then get into your Halloween getup and head to The Garden of the Drinking Dead, the courtyard at the hip and happening bar By Jarmusch.

The usually lush green garden will temporarily transform into the courtyard from hell, teeming with "Bloody Bites" and "Spooky Drinks" as well as surprise acts and ghostly groovy tunes. There will be prizes awarded for best costume, in the category of individual, duo and group costumes, so get busy putting your scariest costume together!

West Friesland Halloween Fair

  • De Gouwe Stek Campsite, Bovenkarpsel

West Friesland Halloween Fair is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, so it promises to be bigger and better than ever! The Halloween fairground consists of 50 tents across 4.000 square metres, full of face-painting, games and other activities, welcoming children and their parents for a scare and a half.

Opening times are 1pm-10pm on Saturday, October 19 and 11am-6pm on Sunday, October 20.

Halloween fun at Center Parcs 

  • October 12 until November 4
  • Various Center Parcs throughout the Netherlands

Children will be in their element this Halloween, with face-painting, performances and blood-curdling stories - the perfect scare before bedtime!

This family Halloween celebration at Center Parcs is the ideal ghostly way to celebrate Halloween if you have children and are looking for somewhere nice to spend some time during the autumn school holidays. There will be a costume parade through the park, and the Market Dome will be full of Halloween decorations, ready for the spooky disco.

Children can have their faces painted or get a glitter tattoo to add to their costumes and there will even be a pumpkin carving workshop, so come prepared with the kids (and adults) in fancy dress and enjoy this family occasion.
