Scheveningen beach clubs to stay open year-round

The Hague plans to give a handful of businesses on the beach at Scheveningen the option of staying open throughout the year. These businesses include three beach clubs, three surf schools and one water sport club.

The portion of the beach where businesses will be allowed to remain open year-round is near the harbour. Starting in 2013, this beach will border on the new boulevard, which is presently under construction.

The plan is now a proposal for The Hague Municipal Council. Starting in mid- August the public will have six weeks to submit their comments on the plan.
