Free lockers available at 18 Septemberplein in Eindhoven

By Carly Blair

From June onwards there will be free lockers at the bicycle parking on the 18 Septemberplein. This has been arranged by the municipality. Simply by setting a four-digit code, visitors can use the lockers for free, for example to leave bags while they go shopping.

The municipality has provided the lockers to stimulate the use of bikes instead of cars to go downtown. For the same reason, free children’s strollers were also made available for temporary use at the bicycle parking on the 18 Septemberplein.

The 18 Septemberplein is one of the major squares in the city of Eindhoven, and connects the central station area and the main shopping district of the city. The square is marked by two very modern looking buildings, as well as the cone-like entrances to its underground bicycle parking garage, which was built in 2010.
