Boyan is back: testing a prototype in the North Sea

You may remember the young Dutch genius, Boyan Slat, from 2014 when he invented a device to clean up the ocean’s plastic.

Well now, older, wiser and more determined than ever, Boyan is back and putting his plans into action. He is currently testing the 100 metre long prototype in our very own local waters, the North Sea.

As the CEO of The Ocean Cleanup, he is determined to educate us all in understanding how the ocean is in fact the lungs of life, responsible for more than 80 percent of our planet’s oxygen.
