10 new Starbucks in the Netherlands

By Moa Thorssell

Starbucks lovers in the Netherlands are no longer obliged to go to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol or railway stations (Utrecht, Amsterdam and Leiden) now that a new branch opened in Leidsestraat, Amsterdam and one more is about to in Beethovenstraat.

Both branches offer plenty of space compared to standard ones since the Netherlands are not a "coffee-to-go country" according to the European Director of Starbucks, Richard Nelsen, who also stated that "this is just the beginning… within one year, there will be 10 new stores."

The internationally renowned Starbucks Coffee Company started in Seattle in 1971 but came to the Netherlands in 2007.
