If you are in the Netherlands on King’s Day, you won’t be able to turn a corner without seeing someone or something in orange. But why do the Dutch wear orange? It isn’t a colour on their flag after all…

As it turns out, there is an interesting back-story as to why the Dutch have ended up with orange as their national colour. YouTube channel WonderWhy takes us through the history of the Netherlands and how it is that orange came to be the Dutch national colour.
