Drone operator Air Monkey has released a spectacular video of Rotterdam seen from above.

Using beautifully filmed footage captured using a quadcopter over a number of years, and accompanied by a smooth soundtrack, the filmmaker shows off his hometown to its best advantage.

The video includes soaring views of distinctive landmarks such as Hotel New York, Euromast, the city's port, the Laurenskerk, the Markthal and downtown Rotterdam.
