According to The Dutch Inspectorate of Education (Inspectie van het Onderwijs), there are differences in the level of performance between primary schools in the Netherlands.

Research (September 2010) based on student performance and educational processes, reveals that 93 percent of Dutch primary schools are performing "adequately," 6 percent "weak" and 1 percent "very weak."

Nevertheless, the same study revealed that 20 percent of Islamic schools are characterised as "weak" and 7,5 percent "very weak" in terms of performance.

Note that this could be considered an improvement compared to last year's results (27,5 percent scoring "weak") but still much more need to be done.
