Master your career in the heart of Amsterdam
Last year, September 14, the Keizersgracht canal was the center of the celebration of Nyenrode Business Universiteit’s expansion to the heart of Amsterdam. Connected to this celebration was the start of the first cohort study of the Full-time MBA program in Amsterdam, relocated from Nyenrode’s main campus in Breukelen.
Master of Science in Management now also in Amsterdam
The event also included the announcement that the Master of Science in Management program would be offered in both Amsterdam and Breukelen, starting from August 2018. The prime Amsterdam location places ambitious students close to numerous business opportunities; both with multinationals as well as start-ups.
Hetty van Roozendaal, Director of the Master of Science in Management, adds: “Every year, 120 international companies choose to settle in Amsterdam. The city of Amsterdam has expressed ambitions in becoming a European business center. A location in a city like Amsterdam offers students a variety of networking opportunities.
Business schools must ensure that their students are immediately eligible for the job market as soon as they graduate. At Nyenrode Business University we aim to form young, responsible leaders who know their strengths. Thanks to these developments within our program, we are further preparing students for rewarding careers"
Solid academics
The Master of Science in Management is one of Nyenrode’s flagship programs, designed for young professionals who want to enter the global labor market as skilled starters. The program starts with a 4-month Pre-Master in which students follow a common track of courses related to the fundamentals of business.
After the Pre-Master, students follow a 12-month Master. During the Master phase, students choose between three tracks: Financial Management, Global Strategies & Sustainability and Digital Business & Innovation.
The journey concludes by selecting two elective courses in fields such as Sports Leadership, International Business & Diplomacy, Business Law, amongst others.
Practical relevance
Besides the academic program, students take part in the MSc Company Project. This parallel track includes 12 months of training in consultancy skills, personal leadership skills, peer group coaching and business practices.
As part of this track, students work on a real-life consultancy project with companies such as ABN AMRO, Tesla, Unilever, Philips, Flora Holland and more. This company project includes a company presentation and a consultancy report.
