Nearly 2.000 Dutch nationals take advantage of the 30% ruling, according to RTL News.
The scheme, which offers certain incentives to attract foreigner specialists with specific skills and / or expertise that are scarce or not available in the local marketplace, has been "streched" to include Dutch (including highly paid, executive board members) who had been working abroad for a long time.
At the moment, approximately 40.000 foreign and 2.000 Dutch employees "cost" 500 and 25 million euros in lost tax income respectively.
