Raising awareness for the Ronald McDonald House VUmc Amsterdam

Expat Mortgages specialises in helping expats navigate the housing market in the Netherlands, but founder Henk Jansen has announced a new charitable adventure for him and his colleagues.
We’re pleased to announce that Expat Mortgages employees are participating in several charity events in order to raise money for the Ronald McDonald Huis Emma en VUmc Amsterdam.
What is the Ronald McDonald Huis?
The Ronald McDonald Huis is part of the McDonald’s Kinderfonds, whose primary goal is to bring parents and siblings of sick children who need to stay for long periods of time in hospitals closer together. They do this by providing accommodation in or close to hospitals in 11 cities in the Netherlands.

Home Run, Home Walk and Home Ride charity events
At Expat Mortgages, we have created three ambitious teams who are training hard every week and preparing for the start of the events on June 26. Each team will walk 120 km, run 240 km or bike 500km continuously within 24hrs. We are doing this to raise awareness and donations for the Ronald McDonald Huis Emma en VUmc Amsterdam.

Henk Jansen was born and raised in Amsterdam by a Dutch father and an Irish mother. He is married to Ilona and has 2 children: Larissa and Roy. As a mortgage consultant and manager, he founded several companies since 1988. In 1999 Henk started, together with partners, the Herenvest Groep, where he specialized in expat services since 2002. He is an accredited mortgage consultant, an amateur football trainer and amateur football player. He is crazy about sport and is a true bon vivant, whose favourite leisure activities include travelling and going out for dinner. Besides being an inspired consultant, he is a born networker as well.Read more
