With the growing number of expats, spaces at international schools are scarce in the Amsterdam region. Luckily, Amity International School Amsterdam opened up its doors one year ago and has spaces available for children aged 3 to 12.

Admissions open

Amity International School Amsterdam currently still has spaces available in various age groups. Admissions for the new academic year 2019-2020 have also opened up. Amity International School Amsterdam has a rolling admissions system and students are accepted throughout the school year, as long as there is space available in the relevant class.

Inquiry-based curriculum

Amity International School Amsterdam encourages students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners.

Only 15 minutes away from Schiphol, Amity is located in a unique monumental building and is surrounded by green spaces.

It is the ideal place for students to develop themselves, so they can realise their full potential.

It is Amity’s mission to offer excellent international education which prepares students for the ever-changing world around them.

In order to provide students with a curriculum that fosters their individuality, creativity and independence, Amity International School Amsterdam is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme candidate school*, offering education to children from the age of 3 to 12.

By following this programme, Amity focusses on teaching students to think critically and independently, and how to inquire with care and logic.

Individualised education

Amity International School Amsterdam celebrates diversity and focusses on sharing similarities and embracing differences.

It is Amity’s mission to provide an engaging and challenging learning environment where students are empowered to succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Their students learn within a real-world, inquiry-based curriculum which fosters their individuality, creativity and unique interests.

Principal Davit Porritt says: “We encourage our students to be innovative and reflective thinkers who demonstrate resilience and determination.”

In order to provide students with support as well as challenge, class sizes are small and class teachers, alongside specialist teachers, are committed to providing learning experiences which build on the students’ own interests and passions.

Open Day

Amity International School Amsterdam understands the importance of choosing the right school for your child. That is why they warmly invite prospective parents and children to their Early Years Open Morning. The Open Morning will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 between 10 am and 12 pm. Only schools authorised by the IB Organisation can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted.
