Business Law
The specialisation Business Law is primarily designed for students who wish to pursue an international legal career in the area of business law. Nijmegen is one of the best places in the world to study business law. Radboud University’s Faculty of Law offers a thorough and broad education in various fields of business law and is specialised in research and teaching in this area.
Human Rights and Migration
In the specialisation Human Rights and Migration, you will study legal issues relating to migration and human rights in their theoretical, operational, social and political context. The core questions revolve around the application of legislation and international human rights treaties. You will gain an understanding of how international and European legal instruments influence the position and mobility of citizens in the EU and how the major international documents and courts protect the rights of individuals.
International and European Law Advanced
In this specialisation, you will acquire an advanced understanding of the core issues of European Union law and public international law. It offers considerable freedom to focus on the subjects you find most relevant for your future career. You can therefore apply a particular focus and opt for a thematic package instead of a purely disciplinary one.
European Law and Global Affairs
Finally, the specialisation European Law and Global Affairs is designed for students that want to extend their knowledge of European Law, but who are also interested in studying the international relations of the European Union from other academic perspectives. This specialisation enables you to develop a broad perspective on the role of the EU on the global scene.
Erasmus Mundus Master’s programme International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development
Next to the LL.M. programme, you can choose a unique two-year Erasmus Mundus Master programme "International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development". This programme includes three mobility periods:
- Semester 1: University of Glasgow
- Semester 2: Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals
- Semester 3: Radboud University Nijmegen (specialisation in International and European law Advanced of Human Rights and Migration)
- Semester 4: Dissertation
Radboud University

The Law Faculty
The Law Faculty is located in a new building and has the biggest law library in the Netherlands. Besides a lot of lecture rooms, the so-called “Grotius Building” also offers a restaurant, a coffee corner and many nice spots where you can study or discuss the literature with your fellow students.
The city of Nijmegen
Nijmegen is a real university town with a large variety of shops, restaurants and cafés. It is the oldest city in the Netherlands, dating back to Roman times. Today, it has around 175.000 inhabitants, 30.000 of whom are students. Students appreciate the many leisure activities available in the city. Furthermore, Nijmegen is a very green city, located on the Waal river where locals can enjoy a picnic in the summer.
