[Video] 10 things not to do in the Netherlands

As with every country you visit, there are certain things you should avoid doing. Do visit the windmills, eat the Dutch cheese, explore the national parks and go on a canal cruise, but don’t do these 10 things – or so says YouTube channel Destination Tips.

We’re not sold on number eight, we think you should learn Dutch and try and speak it as much as possible, but that’s just us. What do you think of these tips? Let us know in the comments!

N8 not true! You need speak Dutch taal, when you want to have a job. More, if you live in North of Nederland.

Number 8 Is not true. We really like it when you try to speak Dutch. A lot of Dutch people can speak English but it's nice if you try to speak it (like every ohher country) . And especially when you want to work in NL.

Yes disagree about N8 (don't try to speak dutch), don't see why not. But it is true that when we dutchies notice someone is struggling with dutch, it's back to english in no time. This also makes it harder for "foreigners" to learn dutch. I think the holland/netherlands thing is also a bit overrated, although I was born in Noord Holland, so maybe that's why I don't care. N9 and N10 so true! Oh yes and 4 too, watch out for those bikes!
