One Dutch city has made it into Airbnb’s 20 places to travel in 2020 and it’s not Amsterdam! The 20 cities the company recommends you visit are based on internal Airbnb data for bookings made for 2020 as of September 2019 vs. bookings made for 2019 as of September 2018, henceforth referred to as year-over-year growth (YoY). Without further adieu, let’s find out which Dutch city made the list!

Airbnb recommends you visit this Dutch city

Drum roll please… the Dutch city making its way onto the list is Maastricht! Yes, that’s right, Maastricht, a city with a wealth of historic buildings and plenty of things to do. Next year, this city will even be hosting the Royals on King’s Day. Airbnb, in particular, mentions the fact that Maastricht will host one of the world’s largest art fairs in March 2020, The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF). Maastricht is 20th on the Airbnb list, seeing a 55 percent YoY.
